It has been a very long time since I have posted....not too much new though. We had a fun summer of going to the zoo a lot, making a trip to the ocean, soccer, art classes, and seeing family up in CDA. It was definately the summer of women having babies, so that has kept me very busy. Here are a bunch of pictures so enjoy.

Dancing Queen

So I bought the game Just Dance for the WII and took it to my sisters for Christmas. What a fun game, and who knew Emma was such a dancer!!

Some of Emmas Christmas presents. The bottle was supposed to be for the doll, but she really likes to give it to her lamby and also likes to push him aorund in the stroller all over the house.And who doesn't love a dancing Dora??

The case of lip gloss was by far the winner for favorite present.

Summer Fun!!

We've had a very fun summer so far and Emma has had a chance to see some pretty cool places, even though she won't remember. This is from the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a great opportunity to visit with our friend Virginia for scrapbook week at her moms beautiful lake house. And I know what you're thinking, Kendra's not a scrapbooker. Well after that week, I think I have become one!!

That flamingo got a little too close for comfort....

Unfortunately my grandfather passed away, so a quick trip to lovely Etna California was in order for the funeral. These mountains are about the only scenery the whole way there. I went with my sister Tami and it took us all day to get there, we went to the funeral, then drove all the way back home. Long trip. And like our usual style, we managged to get lost and ended up in Bend OR. They sure do have a great brewery there!!

This is a fire station site that was dedicated to my grandfather for being such an important part of the fire stations there.

Emma also loved hanging out in old baby things in the garage whenever I am outside. She sits in the bouncy and car seat and just chills.

Visit from family

My sister Autumn and Emmas cousin Jadyn came to visit us from California. It was the first time the girls met, and I think they had a pretty good time together.

Graduation....Finally!!!

Well, the time finally came, and although it was a very long and extremely hard road, I have graduated with my BSN. It doesn't change anything at work, and people are always asking me why I did it. I did it to prove to myself and others that I could do it. I am so happy to finally have some spare time to get caught up on things, such as this blog!! My sister and niece Kate flew down for the celebration and we had a great time. My sister has always been my biggest supporter and I truly appreciate all of it. So no more school for a while....well a little while at least!!

Easter at the Zoo!!

So Emma and I went to the Easter Eggstravaganza at the Zoo today. In case you were wondering why we go to the zoo so much, a friend of ours got us a zoo pass for Christmas. It's the one thing that's free and we both love to do....I think me more than Emma, so we go all the time. They always have great events for the holidays. Today they had an Easter egg hunt, pictures with the Easter bunny, face painting and lots of free stuff. And of course....the animals!! This was Emmas first egg hunt. She didn't quit get it, but had fun carrying her basket around filling it with straw. All of the bigger kids ran out first and got all the eggs, but we have plenty of straw, which has now ended up in the car. Emma had fun and now that she's a pretty good walker, she loves to wander around. She actually understood that there were animals there today when one of the giraffes came right up to her. Good day!!

For the first day of spring it was an absolutely gorgeous day here. It was in the 70s and sunny. Emma and I met our friends Abbie, Chase and Xander at the zoo and strolled around for a while. Looks like the giraffe got a mate finally. Good way to start out the spring season.

I have been bad and not been keeping up with my blog. My excuse is that I have a really time-consuming semester in school right now, but it is my last one so I can't use that excuse too much longer. Emma and I have both been sick so much lately. She got the lovely rotovirus, then passed it to me. Then she got RSV, and passed it onto me. All of the kids she hangs out with have been sick and passing it to each other as well. But I believe we are all officially feeling better, and good thing since the nice weather is coming and we will start spending lots of time outside. So while we were at home, Emma got a new pink chair just for her, which she loves. She sits in the chair and does everything. She would love to eat in it if I would let her. The cat also got a new play toy for Christmas which Emma has adopted as her own.

So Emma has taken to playing with moms bras as her new favorite activity. She'll find as many as she can and run all over the house with them strapped to her. And thank you Kendra for explaining how to put the pictures on!

Christmas

I hope you all had a great Christmas. It was my year to work Christmas eve and Christmas so Emma and I celebrated a little early this year. We got a decent amount of snow here in Boise so it was nice to have a white Christmas. I am very blessed for the things I have in my life, most of all my daughter. I thank God everyday for bringing her to me. Not many babies were born this Christmas at my hospital. Actually, not many patients at all which was suprising to me. I was expecting the pregnant bus to make a stop at the hospital to keep us busy. Instead, we all sat around and ate. Pictures from this year are down below. If anyone would like to tell me how to put them in a post like everyone elses, I would greatly appreciate it! Also a congrats to all my friends who have had babies this month, and there have been lot! Can't wait till we can all get together so they can all finally meet!

Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving! Emma and I had a great day. We went over to our best friends house, the Sutherlands. We ate yummy food and Emma played hard with all of the boys. We then went to our other friends house for more dinner of course. Emma played hard again, this time with the kitties. We were both pooped by the time we got home and passed out. We are both very thankful for all of the things we do have in life.

Flat Stanley's Adventures

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of flat Stanley before, I am finding that many people have. I guess I was in the dark about him but I have now seen the light. So my niece sent me flat Stanley because her 2nd grade class is doing a project after reading the book. She sends him to me and I am supposed to take flat Stanley around with me for a week and take pictures of him doing all sorts of fun things in Boise. I then send the pictures and flat Stanley back to her and the class all compares where flat Stanley has been. So stay tuned for more pictures of flat Stanley's adventure in Boise!

I have to agree with the other Kendra that kids sure do grow up way too fast. I can't believe how much Emma is changing every day. She has become more independent, more snugly and plays all sorts of games now. She absolutely love to play peek-a-boo and does it by herself with her blanket, she loves to throw balled up socks all around and giggles when she does, and she loves loves loves other kids. I guess I just need to try and savor every moment I am able to spend with her and take lots of pictures!!
